I've been watching a lot of the ESPN Yankee classics the last
couple of days, since the passing of George Steinbrenner, and
I have to say there's certain things I kinda miss. ( One or no
batting gloves, players not jacked up, handshakes instead of chest
bumping, and REAL stirrups ! )
On all of these retro sports shows, so many things are noticeable
right off the bat. My question to the more seasoned fans here
is, if someone were to watch a Jai Alai tape from 1977, what differences
would be noticeable to the untrained eye. ( Players smaller, style
of play different, uniforms/gear. etc ) ?
I would think that Jai Alai would be the LEAST changed sport
visually in the last 30 years or so. Is that so ?
