I think in retrospect, from business standpoint, they probably
should've done that when they bought it. Close it and fix it right
first then do a grand opening. In a few months we would've had
a beautiful full casino/jai alai already. The two restaurants
they had now sucked balls, the jai alai area was cramped with
many interruptions from patrons walking, I used to go with some
friends, but they didn't want to go anymore cause it wasn't easy
to find seats together, and the casino looked empty and uninviting.
Not much entertainment either.
On the positive side, it was kinda fun to see the jai alai from
so close, and I got the feeling that the players played their
best when they had all these people watching from so close.
I can't wait for them to finish and see the full effect, it looks
very promising and probably one of the best establishments if
they do what they advertised.
I'm sorry about all the players that won't have a job for so long,
maybe some won't even come back, which would be too bad because
MJA could do some house cleaning and hire new blood.
