How do we know Benny knew about this before a couple days ago? And IF he did....he can't go talking about it on a message board before the employees get their notice. True life example....I know someone who works in HR. She is dealing with a lawsuit from a former employee. The employee was laid off. That employee's manager passed around a sympathy card, had everyone else sign it, then gave it to the employee the day she was notified that she was being laid off. What was the employee's response? Try "Oh...so everybody knew I was being laid off before I did? What about my right to personal privacy?" Boom....lawsuit. She may win and she may not....but either way it is a BIG headache for HR to have to deal with it. So they went to that manager and said....what the hell were you thinking??!! You can't mess around with this employment/layoff stuff. Benny may have just learned like everyone else. If he had prior knowledge then legally he can't say anything. Especially on here.
