We've heard lots of 'em here:
Don't bet subs
Bet the guy that's loafing in warmups
Pick a number that's due
Bet a certain combo on even-numbered games.
Some are total nonsense, while others may offer a glimmer of hope.
Without analyzing specific ones (or deciding if they work), what
do you think are the characteristics of a good (or bad) angle?
For instance, I would suggest that "Never bet Ladutxe on
Thursdays" is weak because there's no conceivable basis.
Unless, of course, you suspected he always went on wild benders
on Wednesday nights
So, an angle ought to:
Be logical and/or rational
Have some statistical basis
Hopefully, be testable (at least anecdotally)
Got any ideas?
