Runouts: Game shorteners; tri-combo key placemarkers. Let's look
at them again.
You've got basically two angles here. Play the 1st rounders (and
accompanying tri-combo preferences) or be a lurker and plan to
cop one second time up. Of course, there may not BE a second time
up and, if there is, there are many more tri-possibilities. Of
course, I'm talking 7-point games here.
Let's take a look:
#1 tough 1st round runout (7 straight)
up early in 2nd round
getting 1st point important
#2 same as 1
#3 same as 1 & 2
#4 6 points to run out
good chance to come up in 2nd round
getting 1st point important
#5 6 points to run out
good chance to come up in 2nd round
getting 1st point important
#6 5 points to run out
fair chance to come up in 2nd round
first point not critical (for win, anyway)
#7 5 points to run out
fair chance to come up in 2nd round
first point not critical (for win, anyway)
#8 only 4 points to run out
most likely first to play for double point
may not get second round chance
Here's an angle, just for discussion.
Look for your top team in Post #6
Plan for them to run out
Enumerate the possible trifectas
Drop combos with loser teams (remember, 1 or 2 must win a point)
Drop combos with long playoffs
Play the remaining combos.
