#50 - In doubles, are some partnerships 'Made in Heaven'?

I'm not talking about a team being great just because the individual
players are great. I'm looking for cases where their attitudes
or styles complement each other so well that they can rise above
their individual skills and/or performance levels with other partners.
The opposite case is interesting, too - where two better players
don't work well together, and wind up being less than the
sum of the parts.
How many examples can you think of?
