According to most everything I have read, it all revolves around the gambler. With this firmly in mind, most suggestions involving long, drawn out games, while fine for us, the slavering fans, would be impractical for the gamblers. The only solution, to make everybody....ummmm...somewhat less than happy, is to run the "tournaments" on a straight point basis. 7 points, 9 points, whaddahell. That way, the gamblers would still have their multiples of games to throw their money away on and the rest of us would get some relief from the double points horse puckey and the Frontons wouldn't be able to say later "Well, we ain't doin' this again because nobody bet nothin".
