Re(5): Is there a secret oath among pro jai-alai players?

I agree. Most people don't even know how the betting works....don't even understand what parimutuel means....but they are experts on how jai-alai is fixed. The reality is there hasn't even been an accusation of any kind of game fixing in about 25 years. The idiots at Palm Beach that got caught fixing games after the strike were amateurs who only got in because of the strike, not real professionals. So you have to go back 30+ years to find isolated cases of game fixing in jai-alai. Wonder how many horses or dogs have been manipulated to make sure they lose during that time? We've had point shaving in college basketball...so does that mean that whole sport is fixed? Or was it a few dumb players not a reflection of the sport? The "Black Sox" rigged the World Series years ago. Tennis has had tons of RECENT game fixing scandals. Boxing? Please.

By comparison, jai-alai has been scandal free for over three decades. Better track record than 99% of the sports out there.
