How can so many people who don't know squat come to this conclusion? And, be so
demonstrative about it? They KNOW it.
I think it's something in the scriptwriters lexicography - something
they just pull out of the book when it's time to write a story.
How many articles have you seen coming from writers who obviously
don't know the game, but just looked up some info? It's impossible
for 'fixing' not be become prominent in their article. Why? Maybe
because it's different ("Man bites dog").
It's sort of like, at election time, when, all of a sudden, you
start hearing about the 'hustings' or being 'on the stump', when
no one in the last 100 years has had the foggiest idea what those
terms meant. Or cared, either.
