Re(6): Is there a secret oath among pro jai-alai players?

In 1972 gambling on jai-alai was made legal in the state of Connecticut. In 1977 at the MILFORD fronton there was a huge scandal going on in regards to game fixing. This of course did not involve American players since there were few if any at that time. When this scandal was made public the public forever ran with the idea that ALL jai-alai games are fixed. Of course everything has been isolated and not all games are fixed but at least we have a starting point to how jai-alai got a bad rap that is forever ongoing. This incident was pretty early on but set an unfortunate tone to bettors who would not believe otherwise....especially ones in the Northeast. My whole point with my thread has been entirely missed but that does not surprise me on this messageboard. There are factual events that have occurred in regards to game fixing but retired and current players still will not admit these events ever happened. As far as other things going on such as the "lock and feed" and any other type of scandal i personally believe many things have been covered up over the years. There was too much money at stake and so many hands in the pot that fronton owners tried to keep as much as possible on the down low.
