Re(6): Best American amateur to never play pro?

Yes Eddy was very good but without a doubt the best amateur player to never go pro would be Ed Mackie, he was a backcourt amateur champion back in the day when it really meant something to be one. He got offers from frontons when they were chock full of stars. He is now the Director of Mutuals at Gulfstream Park. Honorable mentions would go to Danny Schwartz and Ralph Anchilla. Ralph is the son of Anchilla who is the ballmaker at Dania. Ralph went on to politics and is now a State Representaive in Texas and I beleive he was helping with the Texas jai alai that has yet to get going.
