Bennett, Ed Mackie's name was on the US Amateur Trophy that was on display in the lobby of North Miami Jai Alai. Unfortunatly that trophy seems to be lost forever and its really ashame because as far as I know that is the only complete record of all the past US Amateur champs. I was surprised that out of the whole jai alai community I was the only one who showed any interest in saving something like that, oh well at least I tried.

You are correct when you said it was Dave Litvin who was Mike Tuttle's backcourt player and he never was signed to play pro. Dave used to say that Dania blackballed him which is not too hard to believe.

All the players from North Miami who were good enough to play pro, and even the ones who were not, did so when the strike occured in 1988 and even after that the ones who became very good like Fernandez, Adam, Mark, Tico, Blanco, and many others all turned pro. There are probably a few who didnt but I cant recall who.
