The original intent of the new owners appeared to have been redevelopment. There are even plans showing the jai alai building razed, and a new building behind it with a smaller building or two in front, and a huge parking lot in the middle. It's all retail. But the new 17-92 bridge over 436 is going to kill that, as those plans are a go in the summer. Now they are stuck with a property that can't do anything with but hope to sell, and that looks very glim with the roadwork that will cut the property off from direct access. I have now changed my mind and will not attend the citrus. And I was surprised to read that the players wanted to boycott it! Is that true?
