I was a teller at Milford during the good times. No automated machines. We loved the heavy betters. They were the tippers! They knew who the really fast tellers were and they kept on coming back. Each really fast teller had a following. The ones who held up the lines were the small betters who didn't know how to bet. I remember at one time Milford actually put a special booth on the main level in the betting area showing people how to bet. Hardly anyone used it.
