If my memory is correct the machine I used at Milford punched out one ticket/bet at a time. The machine looked somewhat like a calculator and you just punched in the numbers/bets. The machine had a rectangular screen facing the customer and a screen facing the teller which indicated the amount due. It was easy to use and I was able to punch out the tickets as fast as the customer said them. Once the game started I always got a readout from my machine indicating moneys taken in. If I was short I had to make up the difference.
