Jody's post is very well said. If this site or the amateur facility
in Hartford is 'Jai Alai Heaven', Hamilton Downs is
truly 'Jai Alai hell.'
You can say this is the middle of nowhere, and it is...but Lake
City and Valdosta are not the far away, and there is some civilization!
I have to feel privileged I guess that we had someone who somewhat
announced a few games. Not too many corners left to cut...I mean,
do they really need 3 refs with a 9 player roster? They could
go to 1 and have 2 of the subs help out on their games off.
I'm one of many who has always said that some jai-alai is better
than none at all, seeing the sport die in my state. However, I'm
not sure if I'm right anymore after seeing that sorry excuse of
a fronton.
I understand the difficulties of fielding a competitive roster,
but the lack of one doesn't cause 99% of your business to vanish...
