I always thought the Biggest missed opportunity was the exposure
of Jai Alai to the Younger crowd and the established crowd using
TV. They could have had Jai Alai on Friday or Saturday night on
a local cable channel on the feature games of the night.
They could have explained the game in more detail, give player
profiles, and let the people know where they can view LIVE jai
Alai.
The yearly tournaments between the 8 frontons in the 80's and
90's where the best. Each Fronton sent there BEST team to represent
them , but the tournaments fell apart and they never expanded
on them.
I think it might be too late for this stuff now, that why i label
this a 'missed opportunity'
With that being said, I don't know what could have been done to
expand the game, givin the strike, the Florida lottery, expanded
casino and gaming ( All which where not around prior to 1988.)
