Gambling Winnings/Losses

I always keep the losing tickets and the programs from that performance but I dont have a bet history record. I was always under the impression that if you keep the loosing tix and programs that was enough to deduct what you loose up to the extent of what you win. If anyone knows something different or has more info please let me know. I would not want to get jammed up in the event of an audit.
