#132 - Is the glass half-empty or half-full?

We've got news and sentiment on both sides of this question.

On the positive side, we have the slots bill (Dania) and the first new fronton in 27 years. Jai-Alai is a-brewin' in Texas, there's a new fronton in France, rumors of reopening Big Bend, even a new Connecticut rumor now.

But, at the same time, the existing facilities are holding on by the skin of their teeth. Rosters are pinched, the player pool seems to be dry, physical plants are deteriorating, some frontons have the skeleton of a schedule, and there is more talk of reduced schedules and possible closing.

What's your take? Have we bounced off the bottom with clearer weather ahead, or is that light at the end of the tunnel an oncoming freight train?
