Trying to shake the tree a bit here.
What do you think about an 'Alternate Posession' doubles game.
Still 2-man teams, but the players must play in turn (you take
this shot, your partner takes the next). Sort of like a scotch
foresome in golf.
What do you suppose the strategy would be?
Would it be more like singles?
Would 2 singles players make the best team? 2 fronts? 2 backs?
Would the players react negatively to what I am assuming would
be an unnatural game flow?
Would it be too confusing/unsettling, for fans AND players, to
have one of these in the middle of a regular program?
Mostly, would it be FUN?
Like I said, just stirring the pot.
