Re(1): #21 - What is a 'fix', anyway?

I have read in the past that some players have been suspended or banned from jai-alai due to game fixing. This was years ago and nothing recent. If you don't think it has ever happened or does not continue to happen in some way shape or form then you are very very naive. Why should the term "fix" only come into play if a monetary gain is made? My opinion is that fixing a game of jai alai is worthless. The betting pools are too small to really make any substantial money even over the course of a year. Also you would need several players in your pocket to control the outcome of a certain number. The ironic thing is that even if a group of players gets together and decides on bringing a number in that they would have to play everything out perfect and make no mistakes in the game. Can you really see that happening? I can't. My opinion is that "fixing" does not need to be premeditated to be called a "fix".
