I remember one of the first times I went to Jai-alai I one
a $3.00 D.D. 2 & 7 with my friend that paid $316.00.
We were so happy we went to the gift shop and purchased two cestas,
at $30.00 each. We stayed for a few more games then went right
out and tried to play with them.
I remember getting home and my father asked me what I had there.
I told him and he asked me what I paid for it when I said $30.00
he yelled what will you ever make back with that money you spent.
See it was 1976 and $30.00 was a lot of money for a 15 year old
boy.
Well my father never lived long enough to see that I made a good
living with Jai-alai in the many years
as a Clerk, Amateur Jai-alai Director, Judge and Player.
Best of all I met my best friend there Marshall.
