IWS-I think that topic needs it own thread. Needless to say
that was a very tough time. A lot of my friends had just got contracts
to play at Dania but I also knew a lot of the striking players
that were on the picket line. There were only entrances on two
sides of Dania and the strikers had it well covered. It was possible
to park in the condos on the east side of the fronton then jump
the fence but then you would risk your car being towed. The strikers
were also lining the entrances with nails and throwing acid substances
on the vehicles.
In Miami the strikers were confined to an area on the south side
of the fronton so it wasn't as tough on the cars but people still
got an earful went they tried to enter the fronton.
