Very confusing post jai bounce...Joey started in 1972...Not counting the 'front wall only' courts in France which date back to the 1920's...I believe the last open court without a screen was Havana circa 1900 so I think that Erdoza, Piston, Orbea I and countless other great players had kill shots that were probably 'invented' before even their time. Eusebio was known for his killer cortada but just average reverse, Owens for his strong rebote, and Goitia was a steady catcher with a very good cortada...not a dejada. And if Rocha and Olabe are in this conversation, then let's talk about my kill shots. With a strong reverse, I was listed as having a great carambola...which is thrown from the right side...not exactly my strong side...just saying.
