The Guiness Book of Records states that the fastest ball in Jai-Alai was 188 MPH thrown by Jose Ramon Aretio at Newport in 1979. I think that this was mistaken for KPH (kilometers per hour) which is considerably less than MPH. For example, I once looked at a Lamborghini in a showroom and the speedometer read 320 KPH, which is about 183 miles per hour. If a ball actually traveled at 188 mph, you would barely even see the ball. It would be a blur! LOL
