The pelota is designed for the game of jai alai (no kidding right)
it was made not to slow down or speed up, just right for a true
bounce, and a consistant fluid game, it just so happens some pelotas
are faster than others, thats why they are always checked by the
receiving players, so it's possible for a very lively pelota to
pick up speed after hitting a fresh granite front wall w/ no more
than one coat of green paint.
