Re(3): 188 MPH is doubtful

Would like to know if Mark K. has a copy of the Newport Jai-Alai 1979 yearbook in his collection. Not only does it mention Jose Ramon Aretio throwing the pelota at 188, it also mentions him having thrown an uncovered pelota at 233 mph; even I have a hard time with that one.
