During the time I watched Jai Alai with some regularity, he was
always my favorite. I could go on at length but, it's been awhile
since I watched the game and the people on this board now are
different than those days and, probably, no one would care. Gary
D has had some personal contact with him and can definitely go
on at length.
When he left Miami, his arm was not the incredible instrument
it had been and I can't imagine it has shown improvement as, when
you get older, things physical don't generally improve.
Putting him in Dania I would think, would probably be an embarrassment.
Believe me, if he retired on his own, even he knows that.
I still stand by my statement that, at the time he played Miami,
he threw harder than any other player BY FAR.
