Having the serve in singles is a huge advantage, more than just opinion. The chances of a pro player over or under serving in singles is pretty slim. I think if you asked 100 pro players if they were playing one singles point for a million dollars and they had the choice to serve or receive then at least 95 (if not all) of them would say give me the serve!
