The best singles partido I ever saw was the one between Juaristi and Alberdi at Miami Jai Alai. They ended tied in qulifying for the Tournament of Champions and had to have a singles game to determine who would play. Theres no comparison in a singles match between those two as Juaristi has a clear advantage in every way. Well Alberdi decided he had to think outside the box if he was to win this singles partido and on every serve he charged up from the back court grabbed every serve and threw shots at Juaristi. The little man beat the big guy...after the game was over the full house at Miami maybe 10000 people went nuts! I long for those forgotten days when Jai Alai was something....nothing like it is today.
