A lot of it is motivation...and I'm sure is some is the fact
that not all players like each other...lol.
As far as motivation, ever notice when a crummy partner is paired
with a world class partner, the crummy partner plays like a world
class partner? See this all the time at all the frontons, and
it proves that motivation is a very, very big factor in this sport.
Right now, though, at Miami, several players are totally out of
it. Jon is 40 and 0 in game 3 and 41 and 1 in game 4. That has
to be the most shocking stat I have ever seen at Miami, for a
player who is still very good.
Aldazabal is totally, TOTALLY, out to lunch lately, and his stats
have fallen down to record lows for him. Right now, those two,
with anyone are not even a factor. So, some players run hot and cold, too.
