In the 70's Miami Jai Alai's 12th and final game, called the championship doubles, was a single point game. I am sure that it was played that way on every evening performance but, if memory serves me right, matinees were played in the spectacular seven format. It certainly altered fans handicapping. It was not uncommon for high post numbers to get up several times.
