I actually like Singles better, even without the handicapping advantage. Not all singles, of course, the 1:2 Singles-to-Doubles ratio is just right.
I like to watch the positioning, setting up the opponent, working around weaknesses - stuff that's more obvious than in the Doubles game. Granted, some Singles points can turn into big mismatches and quick whistles, but, overall, I still prefer it.
Do any others share my affliction?
