In a previous post, I thought of what I feel would be a terrific
idea, and that is to simply delete the trifecta wager on game
6 only. As I said, there was a dog track that did that on their
final race...only a superfecta wager was offered, along with quiniela
and exacta wagering, but the super pool was just huge on that
race.
I think the Pik 4 pool would quadruple or at least triple, and
more people would wager on it. Orlando has a twin tri and a tri-super,
with no trifecta wagering on those games, and they don't get hurt
by it. With the pools Dania already has, it could be more exciting
and help the Pik 4 pool even more. Even better, if they force
us to bet it, and the pool is so much larger as a result, why
not pay out 50% and carryover 50%? This way the consolations aren't
so lame, and the carryover is good, given the extra wagering.
