Stuff for the simulator.
If, for Part 1, you mean a team/post considerably more likely
to win the game, I'd want them away from the low posts to prevent
them from getting too many points before #8 got a shot. And, I
think I'd want them far removed to reduce the liklihood that they
would play #8 in Round 1. Sounds like a 5 or 6 (probably 5, to
reduce the runout opportunity).
For Part 2, I suppose I'd want the point donor to be in Post 1
(doubles) or Post 2 (singles) to maximize the chance they will
be #8's first victim in the second round.
