I'll have some of what you're drinking.

The game is hard enough (and dangerous enough) without adding "impediments".....but if you're looking for bizarre ideas that really have no place in the game and no chance of ever being implemented:

1. A water hazard across the court, from the side wall to the edge of the wood, about two feet wide, say from one foot in front of the 8 line to one foot behind the 8 line. Players would have to avoid it, and any ball that lands in the water on the fly wins the point.

2. Sliding panels in the front wall that open at random, for about half a second at a time. If you throw a shot that goes into one of the panels, you win the point.

3. As soon as the server throws the serve, an electric pump starts inflating a balloon. If neither team has won the point by the time the balloon pops, both teams lose the point and go to the end of the rotation, and the next two teams take the court to play the next point.

Gimme some time....who knows what other crazy ideas my sick mind might come up with.
