Interesting question, which I can't answer officially. The program says:
"The $2 straight ticket must be in exact order. Or you may play in $1 increments and collect one-half of the $2 payoff, by boxing, wheeling and partial wheeling."
So, you might be able to say 'Partial wheel, 1 with 4 with
2' (conveniently leaving out one of the runners) and get away
with it. Or, maybe, the SAMs would take $1 straight. Who knows?
If you have to bet $2, your bet amount would be doubled and the
pool would be $6 or $8 larger, but you'd at least get that back
(under this scenario). Your percentage gain would be less, though.
