Re(2): #123 - Playing for runouts? 4 vs. 5, 6 vs. 7

I used to play a lot of 8//, meaning all the possible standard run-outs of a post 8. Often, you can get some great pay-outs, especially when the 7 shows, like a 8-3-7. Even 8-5-7 is hittable, and, obviously, almost always returns a nice price, unless a huge fav is in that post... even so, sometimes it still pays big.

I think it's worth it to spend $28.00, hoping post 8 goes out, and maybe 2 and 4 each scored two points, meaning 6 and 7 each scored one point, so they are out of it. People don't play 8-2-4, so it almost always pays well. Ditto for 8-6-/125, all nice payers.

Of course, when it comes 8-3-6, well, that's the most common run number with an 8.

Even in the past few years, 8-5-1 or 8-5-2 are paying very well.
