Let me give you an example.
Gabriel played Games 1 and 2 on the afternoon of July 23rd, then
scratched, missing Games 4 and 6 and then, the evening performance.
He continued as a scratch until July 29th, when they finally got
him off the entry sheet.
That's a total of 8 performances. For the last 7 of those, he
was replaced by the primary frontcourt sub - fine! But, while
we knew he was going to scratch, we had no idea who the backup
sub (now the primary sub) was going to be. Makes it kinda
tough if you're advance betting.
If they didn't schedule so far in advance, this would have washed
itself clean after a few performances.
