Fast or slow pelotas, high humidity, warm/cold weather, low
overhead screen, newly refinished floors, dead spots, "live"
or "dead" frontis - we could go on and on about the
variables that can effect the game, even before we start
talking about the players.
So, how many of these factors permanently/temporarily alter a
player's approach? Is it possible that some players can never
really adapt to the local conditions?
Like with horses, are there "courses for horses, and horses
for courses"?
