As I non-smoker, I'm personally glad for the smoking bans. My wife who has asthma enjoyed our recent trip to Florida more than other trips in the past where we had to contend with the smoke. When I went to Miami last year I saw a cop smoking on the job and found it to be very unprofessional. Up here in Southern New England, they can be fired in some places for even smoking off the job! Dania does not publish their attendance and handles except the local papers, so I don't know what their numbers are like. I can say that it appears Miami's attendance seems down from last year. I don't have exact figures, but I'm sure it would be easy enough to look at performances from last year at this time and compare.

I find it annoying that the indians can get away with allowing smoking on their reservations by "that tribal land B.S" i would enjoy my visits to the casinos much more if smoking were not allowed. I think Miami should at least put a few monitors in their smoking room. At least those who choose to have a butt will be able to follow the game.
