Short Lived Frontons & Frontons never built....

There are a number of short lived frontons which always interested me. Here is a list of short lived frontons:

Cancun Jai-Alai: open only for 1 year (1993)
Las Vegas Jai-Alai: Dec. 1973-July 1983
Reno Jai-Alai: 1978-1980
Chicago Jai-Alai: 1926-1929
New Orleans Jai-Alai: 1925-1929
New York City Jai-Alai: 1938 - only 1 season.

Here is a list of frontons that were on the drawing board, but never built:

Delaware
New Jersey
Fort Meade, Maryland (beautiful drawing)
Phoenix, Arizona (on indian reservation land and I saw a photo of the ground breaking for the fronton in an old newspaper photo. The hole was dug in the ground for the structure, but never got past the politics.
