Re(1): Goico raising his arms......Really??

This is another huge problem in this sport. In all other venues, you can watch the races, like the horse and dog tracks, you can watch video relays. In jai alai, you can't. Inexcusable.

Forty year fan, that was a great description of what happened, especially the part about the shot Luis always attempts...about a hundred times over the years, and he friggin finally scored with it...that lame half swing very quick release forehand picada. Usually, he gets so little on it, the crowd jeers him of the court. Unless Goiko felt Luis juggled it and he raised his arms. I liked it. I love player emotion. We need more of it.

As far as Goiko taking too long...he gets away with it, because he is in constant motion with the pelota and cesta in the catch and swing and release. No player will get called for taking too long so long as the motion in catch and release is continuous. And Goiko is cleanly continuous.
