Should There Be an Age Limit on Playing Pro Jai Alai?

Posted on June 30, 2012 at 04:40:27 PM by DumpTruck

I beleive when playing pro jai alai and every other pro sport for that matter that there should be a manditory retirement age which should be around 45 yrs. of age, the players that play beyond that basically go through the motions and do not compete and are only there for a paycheck! that is not fair to the "up and coming" young players that deserve a chance like rocco which is great for any sport. Lets face it at 40 yrs old and beyond your body is starting to break down and is prone to get hurt alot more easily, an example was a player not long ago who played forever in orlando until almost 50 and was basically going through the motions and had nothing left for the last 5 yrs. of his career yea i guess he deserved & earned that kind of finish but is that truely fair to the young player that is waiting for a shot and maybee could have gotten it? All these forty something players that still think they should be playing now i beleive we all had our shot when we where 20 or 25 and yea some of us played like myself but to think you should be playing again at 45 i think that is just rediculous.
