What a great story, Pete. It's funny how sentimental things
from family can kick into play.
People tell me I am lucky. I don't really think so. We probably
all have some great luck stories to share. For me, many, many
years ago, I was in Atlantic city, and beforehand, my sister told
me to play a certain number on roulette: 12. I said why that number,
and she said it was her anniversary date. I had some great luck
playing it, but just before leaving the casino to catch a plane
and head home to Orlando, I had one $25 chip in my pocket, and
I told my mom, come on, let me just play this on number 12. She
was like, no, we have to go, and i said, oh, come on...its only
15 seconds long. I swear, I was shocked when number 12 hit. It
was an $875 win! I put $50 on 12, and it hit again! $1750 win!
I then put $100 on number 12. The ball stopped on 12! But then
popped out and hit the floor. I said, ok that's a sign, let's
go! I gave my sis $500 when I got home.
