All I can say is you guys must never have witnessed jai lai on a weekend night back in the late 70's-early to mid 80's, because if you had you would never say that. Sure, Goicoechea looks great against his current competition but if he played singles against Asis or doubles against Bolivar it would be a whole different story. Theres a lot more to jai alai than just throwing hard. I would even go as far to say Goico might not make the late games in either Miami,Hartford or Bridgeport back in the day.
