I agree with everything overserve said but it's the majority that thinks the game is fixed and thats hurt the sport more than anything. It's not the peoples fault,there has always been shennanigans involving the owners and organized crime. There were fixed games at the beginning of both Milford and Hartford, the scab Americans at Bridgeport were bagging games. We all love the game for the beauty of the sport but lets not forget its a gambling game so it has always had unsavory charactors around it, now there's no money for it to be worth it for them.
