"Whack" comments? Well, you're entitled to your opinion,
but citing one example of a $130 payout on a 3-4 quinella does
not prove a point. I'd suggest that you look at the payouts over
a long period of time, then make your argument. There will be
aberrations, for sure, but if you look at the average quinella
payouts from Dania or Miami when their better players get the
easier posts, you'll see what I mean. And like I said, some people
like to cash smaller winners more often. I'm not one of them.
I prefer to get a better price when I pick 'em right. And that
doesn't happen as often with random post positions.
It makes it easier to handicap a game when the better players
or teams are spread out through the lineup. It's more challenging
when they are grouped in the 5, 6 and 7 slots. I've always liked
that challenge. Just my preference, you're allowed to disagree.
