The Big Q preceded the trifecta wager, at least at the Miami fronton. I know that there was one for the last two games and there might have been an early one. Being that there was no trifecta wagering then, the Big Q was usually the largest paying ticket of the evening, save for an occasional monster perfecta. By the way, there were 784 possible Big Q combinations, more difficult to pick than trifectas with 336 combinations, but much easier to select than the Pick 6 which had 262,144 combinations.
