Miami Fan...Were you there the night the pelota came thru the
screen and hit the great Pedro Mir right smack in the middle of
his forehead?? He was sitting at his players manager seat when
it happened. I was on the bench 1 player away from him. I swear
all of the players mouths fell open...THERE WAS BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!
THE PARAMEDICS STRETCHERED HIM OUT!! He was back within a week...like
the champion he was...and in true form handing out fines left
& right.
He was 71 years young...Not only did he command my respect, but
my admiration as well!!!
